FASTO is a complete Made in Italy solution: from raw materials to finished equipment, engineered and manufactured entirely by POLO.
The system makes refrigerant gas filling simple, safe, and efficient. Built in full accordance with ATEX regulations and equipped with explosion-proof components, FASTO ensures safe operation with all ASHRAE-classified refrigerants (A1, A2L, A3).
The ergonomic, adjustable filling arm allows precise handling of cylinders from 5 kg up to 65 kg.
A touch-screen HMI enables operators to create or select the correct filling recipe for each cylinder and gas type. The entire process is automated, starting with one click through the three standard phases: vacuum, filling, and dead-volume recovery.
When filling a refrigerant cylinder, a small amount of gas remains trapped in the hoses and internal piping at the end of the process. This trapped gas is called dead volume. If the system does not handle this gas, it is normally released into the atmosphere when disconnecting the cylinder hose – which is unsafe, environmentally harmful, and wasteful. In other words, the system ensures that every filling operation ends cleanly, safely and with no gas release.
Both hardware and control software are fully customisable to meet each customer’s production and safety needs.
Thanks to its modular design, FASTO can grow alongside production demand: starting from FASTO 1, additional filling stations can be added as required.
