IGAS is proud to have been part of the P2X Solutions O Harjavalta, Finland, Green Energy project delivery team.
We played a major role in the engineering, design, manufacture and commissioning of the Hydrogen Container filling System. The IGAS trailer filling system was adapted and specified to accommodate the demountable MEGC hydrogen transport modules commonly used in Finland, Norway and Sweden.
Along with the core project scope described below, we also worked closely with the controls team to ensure our systems interfaced the client supplied equipment; mainly Electrolysers and Compression packages. The overall objective of ensuring a seamlessly safe, reliable and efficient process for filling these Hydrogen MEGC containers for shipping to customer sites.
As part of the design and engineering of the facility, iGas prepared the technical requirements for the RFQ of the compressor package, provided advice on the suitable suppliers and evaluated the resulting quotations. iGas also attended the Factory Acceptance Testing of the compressors and worked closely with the compressor supplier during the final commissioning of the system.
IGAS top level scope;
· Process, Mechanical, Electrical and Control design and engineering of the MEGC filling solution
· Conduct safety studies including HAZOP, Functional safety and ATEX documentation
· Manufacture and supply;
o Hydrogen mass flow metering skid
o 3 off 350 bar Hydrogen semi-automatic MEGC filling modules each comprising of 3 x dedicated filling ramps, 3 off dynamic trailer earthing systems and analysis sampling.
o 3 off DIU’s (Driver Interface Panels)
o Analysis system allowing for the pre and post filling analysis of containers as well as the analysis of the Hydrogen ex the electrolyser
o Associated vents stack and silencers
· Control system including the interfacing with the compressors to ensure seamless operation of the compressors and the filling modules
· Automated recording of all containers filled (using RFID) recording start and end pressures as well as purities allowing for the reconciliation of production and ensuring product traceability
· Factory Acceptance Testing, Onsite commissioning, operator training and handover with all engineering documentation.
