Our client, Chongqing Qiao Da Gas Pte. Ltd required an Automatic Cylinder Filling Plant

Chongqing wished to develop a market leading Industrial gas (Oxygen, Argon, Nitrogen & CO2) packaged gases automatic cylinder filling plant.

Whilst the client had extensive experience in the chemicals sector, they had limited knowledge / experience in the area of filling gas cylinders.

The technology adopted was automatic cylinder filling utilising pressure / temperature technique, including proportional valve control (“fine fill”) which ensures accurate, repeatable mixtures and reduced heat of compression  which is critical when filling oxygen.

In addition, high levels of safety, quality, reliability and productivity were key drivers within the scope of the project, which included; mechanical, electrical and process design & engineering, project management, HAZOP safety studies, installation management, commissioning and training.

In addition to supplying line safety manifolds / panels, automatic cylinder filling modules, cylinder filling stations, cylinder filling hoses & connectors and dual language (Chinese / English) AiFill filling plant control system, IGPH also played a major role in specifying the cryogenic reciprocating pumps, cryogenic pump control panels, ambient vaporisers, and CO2 electric heaters.
